Welcome Back Melinda!

Some more exciting news here at CodeNext! We are pleased to announce that Melinda Amador has just returned from maternity leave. Melinda is looking forward to settling back in with the CodeNext team and our excellent Clients. With Melinda’s background in Risk Analysis, Hazardous Materials, and her focus on the Fire Code she is a perfect compliment to round out the skill sets that our clients are looking for. We are excited for the industrial projects we have set in motion for 2019.

Melinda has 11 years of experience in the practice of fire protection and life safety consulting. Melinda specializes in the evaluation of dangerous goods hazards in industrial, pharmaceutical, specialty beverage, and bulk distribution and warehousing applications. She is experienced in developing comprehensive compliance strategies and Alternative Solution Submissions using risk-informed assessments of chemical hazards, site vulnerabilities, and project limitations.

Melinda has lead numerous Building Code projects involving complex exit strategies, large sporting facilities, and retail spaces and is also familiar with fire suppression system and fire alarm system design, tender, and construction projects.

Melinda is a Past President of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Southern Ontario Chapter and has served the committee since 2008.  Previously Melinda was a member of the National Fire Code of Canada, Hazardous Materials and Activities Task Group on Classification of Dangerous Goods (2012-2013).
