Our Team



Gerry Bourne, P. Eng.

Gerry has 10 years experience in the Fire Protection Industry with broad experience in speciality detection, special hazard systems, sprinkler, fire alarm, and security. He has managed offices, large installation projects, and teams of technical sales associates. Gerry sat on the national board of directors of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) and was an active member of their education committee. Currently Gerry is a Member-at-Large for the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), Southern Ontario Chapter and has served on this committee since May 2015.

Megan Nicoletti, B. Arch. Sci.

Megan has been in the industry for 13 years and is responsible for the preparation of Building Code and Fire Code assessments for architects, engineers, designers, developers and building owners. She is proficient in all scales of commercial, residential, infrastructure and public sector projects, both in Canada and internationally. In addition, Megan is experienced in the development of fire engineering equivalencies that are specifically tailored to meet client’s objectives, while still maintaining the desired architectural vision.

PROJECT engineer

Melinda Amador, P. Eng. M. A. Sc.

Melinda has 10 years of experience in the practice of fire protection and life safety consulting. She has project experience in the development of Fire Code and Building Code compliance for complex assembly and commercial applications and industrial facilities , and is familiar with fire suppression system and fire alarm system design, and tender and construction administration. Melinda has extensive knowledge in the application of Provincial and National Fire, Building, and Health and Safety Codes, National Fire Protection Association Standards, FM Data Sheets, and Canadian Standards Association requirements.

Project Manager

Jeffrey Lam, B.A.Sc., EIT

Jeffrey has 7 years of professional experience in Building Code and Fire Code consulting.  His portfolio includes a range of complex projects such as commercial buildings, residential complexes, schools and universities and industrial facilities.  He is experienced in the application of Provincial and National Building and Fire Codes to renovation projects and new buildings.  Additionally, Jeffrey has extensive experience in conducting building/facility condition assessments, barrier-free audits and Fire Code audits.

Project Manager

Chris Adam

Chris is a Project Manager with over three (3) years of professional experience in the field of fire protection and life safety consulting. Chris has undertaken consulting engineering services and has performed code analyses on a variety of architectural designs and concepts in addition to participating in building inspections to identify fire and building code deficiencies. Chris's work experience consists primarily of, but not limited to, preparing fire protection and life safety reports per the requirements of the Ontario, National and International Fire and Building Codes. Further, Chris has been involved in the preparation of alternative solution proposals and the design of fire safety plans.

The majority of the projects in which Chris is involved entail the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids and hazardous materials in industrial occupancies.
