ADASTRA LABS INC. HYDROCARBON CANNABIS EXTRACTION EXPANSION

PROJECT INFORMATION

COMPANY: Adastra Corporation

LOCATION: Langley, BC

DATE: 2020

Adastra Labs Inc., headquartered in Langley BC, embarked on a significant hydrocarbon cannabis extraction expansion project in 2020. This expansion introduced a new process space, serving as the third production line for the Health Canada Licensed Standard Processing Facility and Analytical Testing Laboratory.

Comprehensive Permit Application: CodeNext Inc. played a crucial role in supporting the project's detailed design and permit application. We meticulously ensured compliance with building and fire code requirements, prioritizing safety.

Cutting-Edge Technology: The project incorporated a HAL Extraction purpose-built extraction booth and the inaugural hydrocarbon extraction system by ExtractionTek Solutions (ETS). This innovative system operates with propane, butane, and blended solvents to produce high-THC shatter cannabis concentrate.

Multifaceted Codes: CodeNext Inc. developed a comprehensive compliance approach that integrated requirements from various codes, including the British Columbia Building Code, British Columbia Fire Code, CSA-B149.2, NFPA 55, CAN/ULC-S4400, and ANSI/CAN/UL/ULC 1389. These standards collectively ensured safety in premises, buildings, and equipment used for cannabis cultivation, processing, and production.

Our commitment to this project underscores CodeNext's dedication to safety and regulatory compliance in complex cannabis extraction operations.
