FLYOVER CANADA - TORONTO LOCATION

PROJECT INFORMATION

COMPANY: FlyOver Canada

LOCATION: Toronto, Ontario

DATE: 2019

Toronto welcomes FlyOver Canada as a central attraction at the base of the CN Tower, adjacent to the Rogers Centre and Ripley’s Aquarium. Led by Sturgess Architecture, the design development began in 2019 with a vision to reflect Canada's dramatic landscapes through a flight simulation experience, sharing the nation's story.

CodeNext Inc. played a crucial role in developing a Code-compliant approach for this unique facility. Our contributions included navigating regulatory challenges, leveraging our team's knowledge and international experience to craft a safe approach to fire and life safety requirements. We developed strategies that aligned with regulatory standards and best practices, even in uncharted territory.

Navigating Regulatory Challenges: Since the Ontario Building Code doesn't specifically address attractions (rides) within a building, our team's knowledge and international experience were instrumental in crafting a safe approach to fire and life safety requirements.

Code Compliance: Developing strategies that align with regulatory standards and best practices, even in uncharted territory.

We're proud to contribute to the success of this world-class tourism and entertainment destination, where visitors will experience Canada's breathtaking landscapes in a whole new way.
