With federal Government approval, an advanced preservation facility adjacent to Gatineau’s Preservation Centre in Quebec is underway, set to be completed in 2022. This state-of-the-art facility will significantly expand archival storage capacity.

In collaboration with the Plenary Properties Gatineau team, particularly B+H Architects, CodeNext Inc. played a pivotal role in crafting the design. Our contributions spanned two key aspects:

Environmental Sustainability Leadership: We spearheaded the creation of a design setting a new global benchmark for environmental sustainability in archival preservation storage.

Archival Protection Challenges: CodeNext Inc’s expertise ensured compliance with the National Building Code and the intricate requirements of NFPA 232 “Standard for the Protection of Records,” guaranteeing the safeguarding of our national archival information.

Through a multidisciplinary approach, CodeNext Inc. partnered with architects and project teams to advance this innovative project, enhancing archival preservation and environmental standards. This collaborative effort underscores our commitment to excellence in preserving our cultural heritage for future generations.
